c’mon Metallica, it’s about damn time you guys came back. Not to mention as well, rumors strongly suggest the newly reformed Blink-182 will most def headline BDO 2010, and Smashing Pumpkins (or just Corgan at least) will be back after, as Corgan puts it in one of his interviews “I loved the V Fest over in Sydney last year. Good crowds and good vibes, of course we’ll be back..”. :D

Has the rumour about Blink 182 been confirmed yet?
There is also a rumour that Sydney band Ramshackle is playing. Is this true and will they be playing in other cities as well?

COMMON BLINK they would be mint to see. and yeah muse. there touring europe at the end of the year. they hate touring in the cold. they could come to aus to get away from it.

last time, the announcement was made in late september or early october, can’t remember when as it wasn’t particularly memorable, and tickets went on sale in mid october. the sydney date for next year will be january 25th, so you could work out the dates for other cities by looking at this year’s dates.
good luck with getting a lineup leak this early ashie. lol. heavily rumored bands include Muse, Blink 182, Eminem,
Lily Allen, Kasabian, Jet, The Mars Volta and Wolfmother.

personally, i’m hoping no blink. not that i don’t like them (they’ve been my favorite band since i was 12), but i don’t want lees and west making them exclusive to the big day out. As stupid as that would be, its not entirely unlikely. when blink come i want to see them 2-3 times, and due to my lack of income and commitments to senior high school, i can’t afford to do multiple big day outs.

and sarah, learn to read. i told you when the sydney one was and how to work out when the others were *bashes head against brick wall*. also, booking flights before knowing the lineup to what has become a lackluster festival isn’t the smartest thing to do.

I agree with Brit.Was hoping BMTH were going to be on the soundwave bill but bring them to bdo.Bdo will never be as good as soundwave cos it has my chemical romance,AFI,Trivium,Alexisonfire,Escape the fate,HIM,A day to remember,comback kid.etc
Would be enough to go if Muse were announced though.We need some really good band to play cos this year had bullet for my valentine so someone like that.Bring on the lineup

Tool have started touring in the US, rumour that they will be doing BDO 2010. Faith No More are doing Soundwave, would be great if they did BDO also

Just to conclude with the rumors with my logic and observation.
Blink 182 did as. (Not a rumor) Blink 182 Did say they love to be back as a band together, and they did ask BDO people if they could play in AU. (Which shocked them adn sure they can’t refuse an offer)
Their American tour would be over by November- December
Placebo dates, from myspace announced they are playing in Australia NEAR january. Better chance and AND FINGERS CROSS.
Blink 18 are touring atm with Weezer, Panic at the Disco and Fall out Boy (Dislike) so most likely they would be brought and first experience with BDO as well, if we are lucky.
The rest i am unsure of
My guess is also Living End who love BDO crowds and Silverchair, if we are lucky and Craig Nicholls (The Vines) his health getting better to complete their comeback tour.
Muse is currently still making their album, and usually they goto Europe tours then America, less likely to finish it in January to Australia, also with the tour patterns from 2007.

i have seen the list of bands that are on the first announcement. if eminem is on the summer festival circuit, he will be at good vibrations. no tool, obviously no faith no more, no mars volta, no placebo. first and second headliners both start with b.

Yeah, Jordan. That rumor’s a false one. The suppossed “headliner” Blur won’t come because they have finished their reunion and Blink 182 are apparently doing a European tour round then.

I heard Blink 182 & Muse are headlining Gold Coast.. also there’s new accommodation next door at Griffith Uni Village cheap, staggering distance away, 5 bedroom apartments etc.. normally student accommodation.. definately the best way to go…. search smart stays gold coast..

I read an article that said that Blinks manager was in talks with the organisers about pay and stuff, hopefully they give them a good deal, or theres no chance.
